Enjoy a full season of plays, musicals, and youth theatre at the Historic Dock Street Theatre. This theater combines the style of an early Georgian playhouse with the old Planters Hotel.
Theatre 99 – 1 mile
With high-energy shows every Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday, this is Charleston’s home for improv comedy. Comedians thrive on audience suggestion so every show is different from the last. This nonsmoking venue offers a bar and even hosts improv training classes.
North Charleston Coliseum & Performing Arts Center – 10.4 miles
Just 10 miles from the hotel, this 14,000-seat, multipurpose sports and entertainment facility is home to the South Carolina Stingrays ECHL hockey team, an affiliate of the Washington Capitals. Plan to stay with us for a comedy show, concert, or special live production.

Charleston Battery at MUSC Health Stadium – 15.4 miles
Catch the action on the field from Charleston’s own Division II A League soccer team. MUSC Health Stadium offers 5,100 fans an unmatched game-day experience with superb sightlines, delicious concessions, and a posh, English-style pub, The Three Lions Club.
